What’s happening?
To celebrate Europe Day and the 2009 European Year of Creativity and Innovation, the West Wales European Centre is organising a short film competition for young people in Carmarthenshire to find out what Europe means to them.
On Friday 8th May, an Awards evening will be held for the participants and their families at the Halliwell Theatre in Trinity University College, Carmarthen.
Why take part?
The competition will give the young people an opportunity to try something different, develop new skills and realise what it would entail to work in the film industry. It is also aimed at raising awareness of the EU and the opportunities if offers for young people in terms of organising youth exchanges or study visits.
Who is it for?
Young people aged between 14 and 16 years old
PLUS: As a first prize, the winners will be spending the afternoon in the TV studios of Tinopolis in Llanelli where they will be provided with a real taster of the media industry.
