DIUS is committed to ensuring that we sustain and develop world-class levels of teaching in higher education in the UK.

In 2007, four out of five students judged their courses satisfactory. Eighty five per cent of graduates were satisfied with their careers three and half years after leaving university.

To award degrees, higher education institutions must have degree awarding powers recognised by the UK authorities
