DIUS complies with the Cabinet Office Code of Practice on Consultation. The Code of Practice on Consultation sets out the basic minimum principles for conducting effective Government consultations. It aims to standardise consultation practice across Government and to set a benchmark for best practice, so that all respondents would know what to expect from a national, public Government consultation.
