Energy and climate change policies are likely to have a significant impact on consumers across the UK. The impact on households and businesses will be through changes in prices for goods and services and changing patterns of consumption, in particular for energy.
We committed to being open and transparent about the impacts of these policies. The Policies Impacts document reflects our commitment to publish, each year alongside the Annual Energy Statement, the estimated cumulative impact of energy and climate change policies on energy prices and bills for households and businesses.

It updates the analysis published last year, extends it to cover the impacts to 2030 and updates provisional analysis published on large energy intensive users. Only those policies already in place or that have been planned to a sufficient degree of detail (i.e. with quantified estimates of costs and benefits) have been included in the modelling.
