Nuts about Brazil

I am back from Brazil. What a trip. What an awesome time. What a fantastic service OMIS was (as expected). Absolutely spot on.

Many of you reading maybe waiting for the ‘……but’. There isn’t one. This was, without exception, the most well planned, well thought out and well presented trip I have ever been on and all this was through the purchase of the OMIS report prior to me leaving the country.

It gave me access to a great English speaking taxi driver who was with me for the week and who new the area so well we never got caught up in traffic. It also gave me, and this part was free of charge, someone unconnected with my business as a sounding post for me to speak to on our travels about what he had thought of the area, the people we had met, what his initial thoughts had been and so was absolutely perfect.

Plus I also had access to a translator for the week to accompany me to the shows, to my factory visits and to meetings that had already been booked for me (all through the OMIS and the sterling work of the Brazilian Office) and again also gave me great feedback on what she thought of the area, the people - all without any prejudice or bent gained through being in the business. Superb.

Anyone out there thinking about ordering an OMIS should stop thinking about it. I know that many different offices work in different ways and your report may not be as bang on the money as mine were (but remember I have had two and am about to order a third on the Korean marketplace as well). I think, and this is only from my experience, that you get out what you put in. Like most things in life. Therefore when the Brazilian and Argentinian Offices for the OMIS reports emailed or called me I made sure I replied, gave them the information they needed, or took their call - it is so important as then you have a ‘relationship’ and thats what makes it a winner. They then know you and feel involved and a part of the process and really fight to give you what you need on time, on budget. Awesome.

I was very lucky indeed. I had two great reports written by people enthusiastic to help out where they could and delivered perfectly.

So what has been the upshot ?

I had 14 scheduled meetings. I met with those 14 companies. I also made extra meetings at the bike show and spoke to a multitude of people. I then narrowed it down to three key players and organised factory visits with them and have come away with, for my purposes, the best partner for HEL Performance. The company I chose in the end in Brazil are also interested in the whole of Latin America (except Argentina who we again followed the same process with to arrive at a company we felt right for us) so it all looks very good for the future relationship.

I have a confirmed and paid order from Brazil and a confirmed but awaiting payment order from Argentina.

And all because I arrived in my designated country with the right people, the right contacts, the right support and the right information. I would love to take all or even some of the credit but I really can’t. I really cannot put into words how much a simple OMIS report has changed the way in which I now enter a new market, the way in which I am now prepared for that market and know that this is the right way to build new business relationships.

Thanks OMIS. Thanks UKTI - How long before I get my Korean OMIS report ?

I have a few more to order too - and it really is worth you guys ordering one as well. Truly, and this is odd in this day and age, value for money.

Export. More.
