“Spend the money quickly, Mr Bond….”
This quote comes from one of my favourite Bond films, Octopussy. It has 007 exploring various locations in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh as he tries to trace the whereabouts of a fake Faberge egg.
Members of two major Indian trade associations will be exploring various UK business opportunities during two separate visits to the UK next week and the week after.
Delegates from the India Semi-Conductor Association will be visiting the UK from 29th September - 2nd October. They will be visiting Universities and learning about the UK semi-conductor industry at seminars in Bath and Cambridge. UK companies have an opportunity to meet the Indian delegates at networking events organised by Silicon South West, the South West Regional Development Agency and East of England International.
NASSCOM is bringing a group of 14 of it’s members to the UK from 6th-9th October. This visit will focus on the E-Learning sub sector which is growing plenty of opportunities for UK SME’s in India. Both Intellect in London and Think London are organising events that will enable UK companies to learn more about entering the Indian market and to have one-to-one meetings with the NASSCOM delegates.
I’ll be accompanying both sets of delegates during their travels in the UK. I’m looking forward to learning about the sort of UK companies they are seeking to do business with.
Email me on jennie.rich@ukti.gsi.gov.uk if you are interested in learning more. Both of these visits will give UK SMEs a chance to be as successful in finding potential business partners as Bond is at finding that fake Faberge egg.
