National Science and Engineering Week

12 - 21 March 2010

A national celebration of science, engineering and technology, featuring thousands of events open to the public. National Science and Engineering Week (formerly National Science Week) is an opportunity for people of all ages to take part in science, engineering and technology activities. 2009 was a huge success with an estimated 3500 events and 1.4 million attendees! National Science and Engineering Week is endorsed and funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and coordinated by the British Science Association in partnership with the Engineering UK.

The British Science Festival

14 - 19 September 2010, Birmingham

The British Science Festival is one of Europe's largest science festivals, taking place each September. The Festival is in a different location in the UK each year, bringing you the latest in science, technology and engineering.

We will be working in partnership with Aston University and supported by Advantage West Midlands, Saudi Aramco, Birmingham City Council, the University of Birmingham and Birmingham City University. Many events will be taking place on Aston University campus and throughout various venues across Birmingham.

From workshops to debates to hands-on activities, the British Science Festival has something for everyone. Expect to take part in heated debates where you can dissect and discuss the latest scientific research.
