The Safer Practice, Safer Learning publication sets out the safeguarding responsibilities of further education colleges, adult and community learning providers and providers of work based training
It offers guidelines to education and training providers on producing supporting policies and procedures aimed at minimising abuse that occurs both inside and outside of the training and learning environment, as well as suggestions for raising awareness of abuse and strategies to deal with it amongst staff and learners.
Most importantly, the guide recommends creating a ‘safer’ learning environment that promotes wellbeing and security, essential for all learners and all staff.
