Communications Act

This policy area is now the responsibility of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). This page and all related content will be migrated to the DCMS website shortly, when details are finalised and announced to Parliament.

The Communications Bill received Royal Assent on 17 July 2003 and a Commencement Order followed, bringing the relevant provisions of the Communications Act into force on 25 July 2003. You can find full details of the Act on the following webpages.
