Consultations available in one place

Any public sector organisation signing up to the Code needs to make its consultations easily accessible. Making all the consultations run by a single organisation available in one place can help. Such a service should be marketed and ideally accessible from a link on the organisation’s home page. Links to the consultation pages on the websites of many public sector bodies can be found on Directgov.

There is on-going work to mark up all consultation documents published by central government departments, so that they can be made available in one place, automatically. As the work progresses, this part of the guidance will be updated.

Info4local provides up-to-date coverage of government consultations and offers an email alert service.

Some consultation exercises are featured on Directgov.
