The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills was created in June 2009 from the merger of the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform and the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills. More than 300 staff from BIS predecessor departments were killed in action or died in war. By recording their names here, together with personal details and photographs, we aim to keep alive the memory of their sacrifice.
