futurefocus provides
Tailored (FF01) ½ or 1 day
Individually tailored and designed to help you achieve your objectives and feel confident that your outcomes will be successful. We can help you focus on the key issues, avoid risks and extend benefits working within teams or with stakeholders in government or business.
Innovation (FF02) 1 hour
Policy Innovation Panels (PIPS) using creative volunteers from around the Department are a fast and effective means to focus on new ideas and help you see things in a different way.
“Out of Your Mind!” (FF03) 1 hour
Borrowing unashamedly from Ricardo Semler, head of Semco Inc. Brazil, from time to time, members of the FF “Out of Your Mind!” committee meet to listen to crazy ideas which you want to test out in safety.
The intention is to set aside conventional solutions and present ideas based on liberty, respect for others, the power of sharing and the sacred right of indolence. However, if, after espousing a new idea, the committee say “You’re Out of Your Mind!” your organisation is not the place to bring this idea or it needs further thought? And if they don’t, you can have the confidence and support to take your idea forward.
Creative (FF04) ½ day within a 1 year programme
What makes you curious? What has to change to make you more fulfilled? What’s it like being in your customers shoes? How do you get the most out of others, build rapport and achieve successful outcomes? What are your unique talents?
These are some of the questions we should be asking as the role of civil servants changes. The futurefocus Innovation Programme has fast, fun and highly participative ½ day modules within a 1 year programme that can be designed to help you and your teams gain skills in facilitation, innovative thinking, effective communication, relationship building and how to achieve consensus with others.
Future Scenarios (FF05) 1 to 5 days
How is the world changing? What effect does change have on your policy and planning today? Our process can be tailored to your needs and enable you to look at uncertainties and build mini or fully fledged scenarios for you to use as the basis for strategic planning.
Scenarios are a great way to engage your teams and stakeholders in the process and with a valuable outcome that can help shape or mitigate planning.
Crisis Response (FF06) 1 day
Complete confidentiality and computer voting tools allow fast crisis scenario discussion and agreement on the impact and likelihood. This process saves time and enables you to engage with key people to validate responses and next steps.
Outcome (FF07) 2 + 2 days
Stage 1 - Starting from the present day, the outcome process enables you and stakeholders to examine how things are changing, the affect consequence of this change, the intentions and consequences and the new outcome desired so you create a positive intention.
Stage 2 - With the positive intention in mind, examine what has to be done to make this happen and who needs to be involved to support this from which to create a new policy or programme that will take the future, stakeholders and new ideas into account so that the policy is robust, likely to succeed and deliver the outcome sought.
