Client expectation, value & evaluation

futurefocus client expectation

Clients measure our success. They indicate their expectations at the outset based on the outcomes agreed and the nature of the working relationship and knowledge sharing. These indicators are documented and reviewed with the client then used to produce a rating which is published annually.

The greatest testimony to our value is our list of repeat clients and customer’s willingness to recommend us to others.

futurefocus independent evaluation

Independent evaluation of futurefocus has been carried out by The Work Psychology Partnership at City University on London and the University of Sheffield. The multi-method evaluation comprised a survey of user satisfaction; a study to assess value add and longitudinal case studies. A summary of the published report concludes that –

Comparisons with other forms of ideas workshop using traditional means indicates there is a substantial cost and time saving using futurefocus and that the quality of ideas and their implementation is substantially greater. futurefocus therefore provides customers and the Department with significant vfm in cost and quality.

  • futurefocus is 8 times more efficient in generating ideas than traditional methods
  • 60% more ideas are generated compared to other processes
  • 67% of outputs are turned into usable outcomes, whereas only 12% of outputs from traditional in-house methods are usable
  • Outputs are implemented in the medium to long term suggesting futurefocus enables efficient planning
  • futurefocus saves the Department time, money and resources
  • The futurefocus process ensures all individuals have their ideas recognised and included

This independent evaluation has been supported by further independent studies and client feedback. This indicates our performance has improved and in 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 customer evaluation concluded that 100% of customers agreed their objectives were met by the futurefocus team and facility.

The value of futurefocus is realised through:

  • Speed & Commitment: The process dramatically reduces times for solution, delivery and results, reducing months to weeks and weeks to days. Our knowledge of government and business means we can provide rapid interventions and mobilisation to deliver fast yet high value orientated interventions.
  • Greater Opportunities & Reduced Risk: Higher quality solutions are developed through creative collaboration in a knowledge-rich environment.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: futurefocus is dedicated to sharing knowledge and ideas, speed of process and delivering measurable and enduring value.
  • Full Potential: Unleash the full potential and creativity of staff, leadership teams, key stakeholders and customers whilst agreeing a common vision and actions.
  • Cost Savings: Is both through the fast paced processes that saves time and the cost and time of tying people up for days. And, from the process, substantial cost savings will be identified through achieving outcomes, improved organisational structure, ways of working and relations with partners.
